CDX plywood is rough on both sides. It is generally considered as the lowest grade of plywood.  One side is a C grade and the other side is a D grade — both sides will often have open knots.  It also uses an exterior glue. We stock other thickness of CDX.  Go to the American Plywood Association if you would like to learn more about plywood grades.

This type of plywood is often used in applications where the plywood itself won’t be seen, such as an underlayment.  Toledo Plywood stocks 4 different sizes — 3/8 in, 1/2 in, 5/8 in, and 3/4 in.
